Local Knowledge.

Yes, Da Nang is widely considered one of Vietnam's safest and most organized cities for traffic. The roads are wide, well-paved, and traffic flows smoothly compared to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. By driving predictably, keeping right, and wearing your helmet, you'll have a great experience.

Most cafes, restaurants, and hotels have designated parking guards. Always park where others are parked or where a guard directs you. Parking usually costs 5,000 VND (about 20 cents), or is free at your hotel. Always lock the steering neck before leaving your bike.

Don't panic! Flat tires are common in Vietnam. Small mechanic shops ("Sửa Xe") are everywhere. A patch usually costs 30,000 VND. If you are stuck in an empty area, message us on WhatsApp and our roadside assistance team will come to you.

No, we strongly advise against this. The route to Hue involves the steep Hai Van Pass. A 50cc engine is not powerful enough to climb the pass safely, especially with a passenger. For trips to Hue, you must rent a 125cc or 150cc scooter.
